Shin Soo-hyun (Korean: 신수현; born March 11, 1989), known by his stage name Soohyun, is a South Korean singer. He is best known as the leader and vocalist of South Korean boy band U-KISS. He debuted as a member of the group in 2008 under NH Media.[1] Soohyun graduated from Pai Chai University as a Media Contents major.
Career
[edit]2008: Beginnings and debut with U-KISS
Soohyun was a JYP Entertainment trainee during high school alongside 2PM members Junsu, Jaebeom, Nichkhun and 2AM's Jo Kwon[2]
Years later he left JYPE and joined NH Media to debut as a member of U-KISS.
In 2010, he appeared on the musical Chorus Line as 'Mark'
2011: Leader of U-KISS
NH Media announced the departure of original members, Alexander and Kibum. Two new members AJ and Hoon joined. Soohyun steps as the official leader of the band.
