Rob Deniel, born Rob Deniel A. Barrinuevo on October 6, 2003, in San Pablo, Laguna, Philippines, is a Filipino singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his distinctive blend of rock and bedroom jazz influences. [2]
Multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, vocalist, musician, entertainer, artist, performer, songwriter, and best known for his hit song "Ulap." Shortly after its release, his single "Ang Pag-Ibig" was added to Spotify's Viral 50 Philippines playlist.
Singer-songwriter Rob Deniel has had tremendous success with his song "Ulap," which peaked at number one on Spotify and received millions of views on YouTube. He promises to keep Philippine pop music current with his hands-on approach, which involves using his phone and the GarageBand app.[3]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Rob Deniel went to Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna and Blessed Christian School in Laguna. He showed an early love of music and was influenced by great performers like The Beatles and Elvis Presley.[4]
Musical Career
[edit]In June 2020, at the age of 16, Rob independently released his debut single, "Ulap." He recorded the song in his bedroom using a mobile phone and the GarageBand app, handling both vocals and instrumentation himself. The track gained significant attention on platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube, leading to his signing with Viva Records in October 2020.[5]
After the success of "Ulap," Rob put out a number of singles, such as "Gabi," "Baby I Tried," and "Ang Rosas." His music remained popular with listeners, demonstrating his ability to write moving lyrics and catchy melodies.[6]
In 2024, his single "Miss Miss" achieved remarkable success, amassing over 41 million streams on Spotify. This accomplishment earned him Spotify's Wrapped Cake Trophy for Top Tatak Pinoy Artist in 2024[7]
