RetroMC is a Minecraft server running on Java Edition Beta 1.7.3 founded sometime in 2014. The server is currently owned by a Minecraft player with the username "JohnyMuffin".
History

[edit]RetroMC was founded back in 2014 by a small group of friends, much of the pre-2018 history has been lost to time so not much is known about that era.
2018-Now
[edit]In 2018, RetroMC; then called "Retrolands" bought out another Beta 1.7.3 server named "Betalands". In 2024 the Betalands server was shut down do to a lack of interest in it.
Gameplay
[edit]The gameplay of RetroMC aims to be SMP (Survival multiplayer) "Towny" (A plugin allows users to create towns in which other minecraft players can join) Server running an old version of Minecraft. What makes RetroMC different then other servers of the same style is that it has stayed on the version that it launched on, Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. This makes the server a popular choice for certain Minecraft players that want to play Beta 1.7.3 Multiplayer.
