Pokémon Horizons — Mega Voltage, known in Japan as Pocket Monsters: Mega Voltage[a], is the twenty-eighth overall season of the Pokémon animated series and the third and titular season of the new Pokémon series titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series[n 1], known in Japan as Pocket Monsters (ポケットモンスター, Poketto Monsutā).[1] It is directed by Saori Den and produced by OLM. The season is scheduled to began broadcasting in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 11, 2025, and will be distributed by the streaming service Netflix in the United States.[2]

Taking place over a year[n 2] after the collapse of Laqua, the season will follow the continuing adventures of protagonists Liko, Roy, and Dot, as well as Ult, a young boy.[4]

On March 14, 2025, The Pokémon Company announced that a new arc of the Pokémon anime would began airing in Japan on April 11 of that year, toward the near-conclusion of the previous "Rayquaza Rising" storyline, which teased a timeskip.[2] A new trailer and poster was released a week later on March 21, showcasing the return of Mega Evolutions and a new male character named Ult.[4][9]

Music

The Japanese opening theme is "Get Back" (ゲット・バック, Getto bakku) by Yuzu.[10][11] The Japanese ending theme is "Ready Go" by Me:I.[12]
