Pogona Club Gym

[edit]

Pogona Club Gym is a martial arts and fitness training facility with bases in Japan and Paraguay, specializing in mixed martial arts (MMA), kickboxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Founded by Makoto Hirata under the slogan "Let’s have fun and get strong together!"[1], the gym attracted many like-minded supporters and quickly developed into a thriving training community.

The gym started as an amateur club with no well-known instructors, but by fostering self-reliance and building a strong training curriculum and environment, it rapidly began producing champions and professional fighters. The gym quickly grew into one of Japan's most recognized MMA gyms.[2]
