Patrick Schmidt is an American politician serving as a member of the Kansas Senate for the 19th district. Prior to joining politics he served in the U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer[1] and received his bachelor's degree from Tufts University.[2] He assumed office in January 13th, 2025 after winning in the general election on November 5th, 2024. Schmidt is registered as a Democrat. His term will end in 2029.[3]
Schmidt is married to his wife, Megan Walden.[2]
The core issues he ran on were, "access to health care and supporting public education."[4]
