The Organisation of Emerging African States (OEAS) is an American registered non profit corporation that is dedicated to providing services to emerging separatist movements of Africa and their citizens.[1] It is based in Washington DC with a General Assembly of States planned for Juba, South Sudan. It is led by Ebenezer Akwanga.
Objectives
[edit]OEAS states its goals as supporting "National self-determination in Africa through educational and legal initiatives", stating that "The colonial era borders of Africa must be shattered as an artifical construct of the 20th century. Just as the USSR dissolved, so too will the status quo in Africa which is propped up by economic and geopolitical interest inimical to the aspiration of Africans.[2]"
The OEAS opposes the continued existence of African borders drawn by colonial powers, and seeks to support separatist nations and movements in Africa seeking independence and self-determination.
Actions
[edit]The OEAS is currently supporting the Anglophone peoples and the Ambazonian independence movement in Southern Cameroon, and also files legal initiatives with international organizations and tribunals on behalf of its member states.[2]
In February 2024, OEAS officially endorsed a self-referendum by the Biafran Republic Government in Exile for self-determination.[3][4]
