Kamal Sharma (born 1996) is an Indian speech-language pathologist, audiologist, and a PhD scholar in Speech Language Pathology. He is recognized for his clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders, his academic contributions through numerous publications, and his advocacy for awareness regarding autism, speech impediments, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Early Life and Education

Kamal Sharma was born in 1996 at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, Assam, India. He completed his foundational schooling in Guwahati.

His professional journey in the field of speech and hearing commenced in 2014 when he earned a Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) from the Composite Regional Centre, Guwahati. This diploma program was officially approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and affiliated with the Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (AYJNIHH), Mumbai. Upon completion of his DHLS, he obtained his RCI personnel registration (License Number: RCI A70113).[1]

Sharma continued his higher education at the Composite Regional Centre, Guwahati, under Gauhati University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from 2015 to 2020. After obtaining his BASLP, he updated his RCI license to reflect his additional qualification as a Professional Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist.[2]

Furthering his specialization, he completed a Master in Speech Language Pathology (MSLP) between 2022 and 2023 at the Helen Keller Institute, Hyderabad, affiliated with Osmania University.[3] Since 2024, he has been pursuing a PhD in Speech Language Pathology, indicating his commitment to advanced research and academic contribution to the field.[4]
