54°32′41″N 2°18′58″W / 54.54460°N 2.31618°W / 54.54460; -2.31618Mount Ida is a mountain in the ceremonial county of Cumbria, England which overlooks the civil parishes of Brough and Helbeck. It lies among the North Pennines at a height of 449 m with a prominence of 31 m[1][2].

Rising steeply from the lower summit of Barnarm Scar, the mountain is notable for the Grade II listed Fox Tower in Helbeck Wood, a folly believed to have been constructed somewhere between the late 18th and early 19th centuries[3]. On the side of the mountain is the site of Helbeck Quarry, a limestone quarry opened by the Sherburn Stone Company in the 1920s[4]. The summit of the mountain is marked with a cairn.
