Javaun Fearon (born December 4, 1993), known professionally as Masicka,[1] is a Jamaican dancehall Deejay "DJ" and rapper from Portmore, St Catherine. Known for his razor-sharp lyricism, gritty storytelling, and genre-blending versatility, Masicka has become one of the leading voices in modern dancehall. He gained widespread attention in the 2010s with a string of impactful singles and high-profile collaborations, working with artists like Vybz Kartel, Dexta Daps, Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, and Stefflon Don.
Masicka's debut studio album, 438, released in 2021, marked a turning point in his career, showcasing a more mature and reflective sound while still delivering the hard-hitting energy fans expect. The album was both a critical and commercial success, featuring standout tracks like "Suicide Note," "Moments" (feat. Stefflon Don), and "King." He followed up with his sophomore album, Generation of Kings, released in 2024, further cementing his place in the dancehall elite with themes of legacy, struggle, and personal growth.
