Draft:Luxembourg Science Center

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Luxembourg Science Center is a fun discovery centre located in Differdange, dedicated to science and new technologies. Inaugurated in October 2017, it now features more than 80 interactive stations and a host of spectacular "Science Shows" on different themes: mechanics, electricity, magnetism, low-temperature fluids, materials, optics, acoustics and astronomy. The museum is open to the public every day.

Objectives

[edit]

Science and technology are sometimes approached in an overly abstract or academic way. The aim is to present these subjects in a way that is clear and accessible to the general public, putting theory into practice through a fun and interactive approach.

Partnerships with schools and colleges

[edit]

The Luxembourg Science Center works actively with schools and universities in Luxembourg and the wider region.

Mediators and teachers have access to a collection of tools and experimental stations that make the subjects studied in class more tangible. These are tools and facilities that schools often don't have on their premises.
