Little Nightmares Stop-Motion Project is an upcoming animated stop-motion series set in the universe of the Little Nightmares franchise. It is being developed by the Mexican animation studio Taller del Chucho in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Background
[edit]The stop-motion project was officially teased during the Little Nightmares Showcase event on June 24, 2025. A brief teaser video revealed a dark and stylized animation style, aligning with the franchise's signature eerie tone.[1]
Production
[edit]The series is being produced by Taller del Chucho, a Guadalajara-based stop-motion studio co-founded by Guillermo del Toro.[2]
Development History
[edit]The stop-motion project appears to be a spiritual successor or continuation of a previously announced Little Nightmares TV adaptation project from 2017. That earlier project was initially planned to be produced by the Russo brothers and directed by Henry Selick, but its status has remained uncertain for years.[3]
In a 2022 interview, Henry Selick confirmed that the TV series was a "good project" and that he had worked with a writer on it, but the outcome of the production was unclear.[4]
