History

[edit]

LearnUpon was established in 2012 by Brendan Noud and Des Anderson in Dublin, Ireland.[1] That same year, it joined the NDRC Launchpad accelerator program, receiving equity and non-equity funding. By 2014, LearnUpon had grown to over 100 customers and secured €550,000 in seed funding, led by a U.S.-based investor and Enterprise Ireland.

The company raised additional venture funding in 2016 and, in 2020, closed a $56 million growth equity round from Summit Partners.[2] As of 2025, LearnUpon serves over 1,500 clients worldwide and operates offices in Dublin, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Belgrade, and Sydney.

Products

[edit]

It supports e-learning standards such as SCORM and xAPI, and includes features such as course creation, assessments, certifications, and reporting dashboards. The platform integrates with various HR, CRM, and collaboration tools, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoom, and Zendesk.

The LMS offers multi-portal capabilities to serve different learner groups and includes options for automation, gamification, and social learning features. It is used for internal training (employees) and external audiences (customers, partners, and members).
