Death of Babak

[edit]

When Babak surrendered[2], he stood in front of the Abbasid Caliph and humiliates him to the point that the Caliph became angry and ordered Babak's hand to be cut off. After his hand was cut off, he smeared his own hand with blood and rubbed it on his face. When the Caliph asks him why he is doing this, he says: "When the blood comes out of my body, my face will turn yellow and you will think that I am scared, So I hide my face's color.." The Caliph, amazed by Babak's courage, finally orders Babak to be executed.
