Jaroslav Strnad (born c. 1993) is a Czech industrialist and entrepreneur. He is the CEO and majority owner of the Czechoslovak Group, a Prague-based industrial and defense holding company that operates factories and sites across Europe.[1][2]
Business career
[edit]Strnad took ownership of CSG in January 2018, following its rebranding from Excalibur Group.[1] Under his leadership, the company expanded into defense, automotive, and aerospace sectors, with operations in over ten countries including Germany, India, Italy, Serbia, Spain, the UK, and the US.[1]
By 2023, CSG employed more than 10,000 people and generated annual revenue of approximately €1.73 billion, with €0.21 billion in net income.[1] Its exports accounted for 66% of revenue, with significant sales to NATO countries and Ukraine.[1]
Wealth & recognition
[edit]On 9 June 2025, Expat’s.cz reported that Strnad had become the wealthiest person in the Czech Republic, with an estimated net worth of CZK 371.6 billion—surpassing long-time leader Renáta Kellnerová of PPF.[2]
Significance
[edit]Under Strnad’s leadership, CSG has become a major player in Central Europe's defense and industrial sectors, notably expanding brownfield and new manufacturing sites while significantly growing its workforce and international footprint.[1]
