Jēkabpils county (Latvian: Jēkabpils apriņķis) was a historic county of Latvia founded in 1924 which was dissolved during the administrative territorial reform of the Latvian SSR in 1949. It's predecessor was Jaunjelgavas apriņķis.[1][1]
On 31 December 1949, it was spilt into smaller districts by the Soviet occupational authorities, of which most were later merged into Jēkabpils District.
