Israel Tenorio – Passion and emotion through his guitar and voice

Israel Tenório is a Brazilian-born, South Carolina (Greenville) –raised singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer whose voice has graced prestigious stages in the United States. Now based in Tampa, Florida, he brings his seasoned experience and unmistakable talent to the forefront with Solo, duo, trio format and also his latest project, City Loud.

Israel rose to national prominence with the rock band Kruyssen, which earned a Latin Grammy nomination in 2019 for the album Metanoia as the best Alternative Rock album category. As a voting member of the Latin Grammy Academy, Israel continues to contribute to the global music scene with both credibility and artistry. His accolades also include winning the 2023 “Notáveis USA” award in New York, where he was recognized as one of the most notable Brazilians in the United States, receiving over 14,000 votes and taking home the Golden Category.

His band, Kruyssen also won as Best Gospel Rock Band at the respected Prêmio Hangar de Música, a major cultural award in Brazil. The band appeared in multiple editions of the award show and has remained a standout pioneering in the independent Christian rock scene, which Israel has a big role on it as one of the first musicians who introduced rock progressive songs with Christian themed lyrics selling thousand of albuns.

A gifted instrumentalist, Israel was named the #3 best guitar player in Brazil for a six-month period by the “Guitar Battle” website branch of “Cifra Club”, the biggest Chords website of Brazil. With over 100,000 downloads of his guitar solos and more than 20,000 people searching online to learn the chords to his original songs.

Despite his technical prowess, Israel considers himself, first and foremost, a composer and lyricist, having begun writing songs at the age of 13.

His music has been featured on major Brazilian Radios and platforms like Globo, Multishow, Voyage Tampa, Brazilian Times, Magazine Atlanta and he has amassed more than 1.5 million combined views across streaming and social media platforms. He also maintains around 700 monthly active listeners on Spotify.

Israel’s versatility extends beyond the rock scene. With his wedding and events project 3Passos, back in Brazil, he has become widely respected for his ability to deliver emotionally impactful performances during wedding ceremonies, as well as high-energy shows for receptions and corporate events.

In his solo and duos he has a fluid, genre‑defying style delivers high versatility. His rhythm style is deeply rooted in an eclectic fusion of pop, classic rock, smooth jazz, and Brazilian blended with American groove sensibilities, fluid transitions and improvisation: Live loops, vocal nuances, harmonca, and genre-hopping in real time. His rhythmic approach reflects a wide-ranging repertoire—from ’90s rock and top‑40 pop to relaxed jazz, samba, creating a seamless flow among genres that engages diverse audiences.
