"Have a Talk with God" is a song by Stevie Wonder that appears on his 1976 album Songs in the Key of Life.
Background
[edit]"Have a Talk with God" was co-written by Stevie Wonder and his brother Calvin Hardaway. Wonder once stated during an interview for Classic Albums:
We used the Mu-Tron sound, which is like, [...] there's a filter that triggered the toms to opening up the filters, closing the filters.

In the same interview, Wonder revealed that they worked on the track on the 4th of July in 1976.[2]
