Draft:Gabriela Sashova and Krasimir Georgiev

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gabriela Sashova, 26, and Krasimir Georgiev, 35, are notorious snuff-video producers, serial animal abusers and killers in Bulgaria. The couple reportedly carried out the crimes from September 2022 to 13th of March 2025, when they were caught by the Bulgarian authorities.

Identification and Arrest of Perpetrators

[edit]

In March 2025, Bulgarian authorities identified and arrested two individuals involved in the torture and killing of animals for profit in a series of pornographic videos. The case, considered one of the most severe instances of animal cruelty in the country's history, led to widespread public outrage and protests demanding justice and stronger legal protections for animals.

The investigation was initiated by the Bulgarian non-governmental organization Campaigns and Activism for Animals in the Industry (CAAI) in collaboration with the cybersecurity group known as the "BG Elves." Utilizing open-source intelligence (OSINT), the BG Elves successfully uncovered the identities of the perpetrators, subsequently passing the information to law enforcement.

Details of the Crimes

[edit]

The individuals arrested were identified as Gabriela Sashova, aged 26, and Krasimir Georgiev, aged 35. The suspects were apprehended during a special police operation on March 13, 2025. Searches were conducted across multiple locations in Sofia and other cities, leading to the seizure of mobile phones, computers, and additional items linked to the crimes.

The perpetrators allegedly operated an international criminal network through Telegram channels, distributing videos featuring extreme acts of animal torture, including sadistic pornographic content associated with hard crush fetishes. These videos were sold to an audience of thousands, with payments ranging from €100 to €400 per animal. Their victims reportedly included cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, fish, and other small animals.

Beyond their involvement in animal cruelty, the accused also face criminal charges related to financial operations and illegal property transactions believed to be linked to their activities.

Discovery and Investigation

[edit]

The case came to light when a foreign individual encountered the videos and alerted Eurogroup for Animals, the largest coalition of animal protection organizations in Europe. The informant provided evidence suggesting that the offenders were based in Bulgaria but lacked additional identifying details. Eurogroup for Animals advised reporting the case to CAAI, its official Bulgarian representative.

Upon reviewing the footage, CAAI was deeply alarmed and initiated efforts to report the case to law enforcement. Prior to contacting authorities, CAAI sought assistance from the BG Elves, a cybersecurity collective specializing in tracking digital misconduct. Within hours, the BG Elves identified the primary suspect and subsequently uncovered her accomplice and other potentially involved individuals. Despite the encrypted nature of Telegram, the investigators successfully gathered sufficient data using publicly available sources without breaching protected information.

Following the submission of a report, the General Directorate of National Police (GDNP) took over the investigation. Inspector Kamen Nikolov and his team reviewed the evidence and confirmed its authenticity. Further investigation linked the perpetrators to multiple locations, including Sofia and Pernik. The case was then transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office, which proceeded with the arrests and legal proceedings.

[edit]

The revelation of these crimes triggered mass protests all over the country from the day of the discovery with the biggest one's being in Sofia and Pernik, where the couple resided and carried out most of the animal torture and abuse. The case is still ongoing with political figures in Bulgaria promising to implement better protections for animals in the future and changing the laws to be updated in the face of such cruelty. Concerned citizens started a petition, which currently has over 188,000 signatures.

The couple are due to go on trial this year with the date still unknown. Currently the case is in evidence-gathering and the couple are kept separate from the public, due to the widespread outrage and fear that they will be hurt prior to the trial.
