Francisco M. Gonzalez-Longatt is a Venezuelan electrical power engineer, academic, and researcher recognized for his work in smart grid technologies, digital substations, and power system dynamics.[1]. He is currently a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway and founder of the DIgEnSys-Lab (Digital Energy Systems Laboratory)[2].
Early life and education
[edit]Gonzalez-Longatt earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Universitario Politécnico de la Fuerza Armada Nacional (IUPFAN), Venezuela, in 1994. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with honours from Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua in 1999. In 2008, he completed his PhD in Electrical Power Engineering at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Professional Practice from Coventry University (2013) and a Diploma in Leadership and Management from Loughborough University (2018)[3][4]
