Draft:Fojtik Henglein Award
Fojtik-Henglein Award
[edit]Named after the inventors of the laser-based synthesis of nanoparticle colloids, Anton Fojtík (Czech Republic) and Arnim Henglein (Germany), the Fojtik-Henglein Award is presented to a leading scientist whose work represents a significant scientific breakthrough in the field of laser synthesis and processing of colloids.[1][2][3]
The award reflects the pioneering contributions of both researchers in the field of nanoparticle and nanomaterial preparation using pulsed laser ablation in liquids.[4]
The Fojtik-Henglein Award is given biannually during the International Conference on Advanced Nanoparticle Generation and Excitation by Lasers in Liquids (ANGEL), recognizing recently published research. The recipient is selected by a jury based on the accepted abstracts for oral contributions to the ANGEL conference. The jury includes the conference chairs, program committee members, and international advisory board members.[3]
The first laureate was honored in 2018.
