Florence Road is an Irish indie rock band formed in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. The group consists of childhood friends Lily Aron (vocals), Emma Brandon (guitar), Ailbhe Barry (bass), and Hannah Kelly (drums). The band gained recognition in Ireland's independent music scene before signing a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music in late 2024.[1]

History

The members of Florence Road met as teenagers and began performing together in local venues in Bray. Their early work blended elements of alternative rock and pop, drawing comparisons to artists such as The Cranberries and Fleetwood Mac. By 2022, they had independently released the single "Another Seventeen," which gained traction on streaming platforms.[2]

In 2024, the band signed a worldwide publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, the publishing arm of Warner Music Group.[3] Their debut single under the label, "Heavy," was released in March 2025 and received attention from music critics and radio stations in Ireland and the UK.
