Eltuu Muthaa is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by Raa Surya. It stars Shaurya Prithapa and Surya himself in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 1 August 2025.
Plot
[edit]Set in the Coorg region of Karnataka, the film depicts the story of two funeral drummers Eltuu and Muthaawhose lives intertwine through ritual, tradition, and personal turmoil.

Production
[edit]The film was shot entirely in Madikeri and uses native Kodava dialects. It is based on real-life experiences of the director and combines folklore with contemporary storytelling. Pavindra Muthappa joined as co-producer during post-production.
Music
[edit]The soundtrack is composed by Prasanna Keshava KS. The Kodava-language song "Kaambulere Kaambule" was released in July 2025.
Marketing and Release
[edit]The trailer was launched on 16 July 2025 in Bengaluru.[1] The film is distributed by Sridhar Krupa Enterprises and will release theatrically on 1 August 2025.[2]
Reception
