Dominic Trollip
[edit]Dominic Trollip is a South African rugby union player born in Johannesburg, South Africa in September 2002.
*Early Life and Education*
[edit]Trollip attended Bedfordview Primary School from Grade 5 to Grade 7, where he began his rugby career playing for Wasps from Under 8 to Under 16. He then attended Jeppe Boys High School from Grade 8 to Grade 10, before completing his high school years at Leeuwenhof Akademie.
*Rugby Career*
[edit]Trollip's rugby career gained momentum during his high school years, where he earned a spot in the 1st team in Grade 11, playing a combination of positions including scrumhalf, wing, and fullback.
After completing his school years, Trollip was scouted by various teams and secured a deal with Western Province. However, his time with the team was cut short due to an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for most of the season.
In 2025, Trollip seized the opportunity to take his career abroad, signing with the Black Rams in Japan. Prior to his move to Japan, Trollip played for Wasps Rugby Club.
*Playing Style*
[edit]Trollip is known for his versatility on the field, with the ability to play multiple positions including scrumhalf, wing, and fullback. He is also recognized for his accurate goal kicking, outstanding ball control, and astute game reading.
