The Chittagong University Central Students' Union, commonly known as CUCSU (চাকসু), was established in 1966 to promote the educational standards, leadership, and rights of students through representation and active participation.[1] CUCSU played a significant role in the Bangladesh Liberation War.

By default, the Vice-Chancellor of the university serves as the President of CUCSU. The members directly elect the Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS), and other representatives through voting.[2]
