In 2024, Jako was recognized by The Daily Telegraph as one of Australia’s top up-and-coming influencers, highlighting his growing impact in the travel and lifestyle space.[1]

Jako also participated in a whip-cracking stunt at a Great Northern beer launch, where he took part in an event humorously dubbed the “bush vasectomy,” showcasing his adventurous nature.[2] He has also used his platform to comment on societal issues, such as the effects of social media on children. Advocating for outdoor experiences over "doom scrolling," he credited time spent offline with enriching his own life.[6]

He described seeing a man peering through curtains late at night while staying at a friend’s house in Byron Bay. The unsettling incident, along with other suspicious events, led the occupants to move out.[5][7]
