Draft:Blogfa (Persian blogging software)
Submission declined on 16 March 2025 by RangersRus (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Censoring blogs opposing the Iranian Green Movement
[edit]After the events of the 2009 Iranian presidential election, blogs of the Front of Islamic Revolution Stability that were opposing the Iranian Green Movement were deactivated.[3]
Arrest of the founder
[edit]On May 13th 2010, officers of the Police Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran entered the house of Alireza Shirazi (The founder and administrator of Blogfa) and arrested him on account of a lawsuit by the former administrator and a few members of the Kerman Sports Federation for deactivating their blog. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison and whips, which was later changed to 6 months in prison after a review. He is now free and at his post of the owner and administrator of Blogfa.[4]
Filtering
[edit]On June 20th 2010, users trying to enter blogfa or their blog's admin page were met with a notice by the Iranian Government noting that Blogfa had been filtered. This event had a negative impact on Blogfa's reputation, as many entities including news outlets thought the website was blocked due to political activism.[5] The filtering was removed the next day, having seemingly been due to a flaw in the filtering system also known as the Peyvandha Page.
Deactivation
[edit]On May 7th 2015, Blogfa was inaccessible until June 22nd 2015, seemingly due to a few problems whilst migrating the servers to a new location.[6] The version that was accessible after Blogfa came back online was the version from February 2014, effectively wiping any post and content between these two periods.
