Draft:Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: Far too much of this draft is on the say-so of B&EGAG or of the university. If The Galleries have featured exhibitions of art by Banksy, Sam Bartlett, Susanna Coffey, Solomon Enos, Tannaz Farsi, Katie Hudnall, Mr. Imagination, A.B. Jackson, Anne Neely, Lori Nix, Jules Olitski, Greta Pratt, The Quay Brothers, and Stefan Sagmeister, among many others (within which I suppose "featured" means "hosted"), then I'd expect that reliable sources independent of the galleries and ODU would have reviewed these, or otherwise commented on them. So where are the reviews or other comments? Hoary (talk) 09:23, 8 March 2025 (UTC)

The Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries is an academic art museum located on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. Since 2007, the Galleries have exhibited works by nationally and internationally recognized self-taught artists, contemporary artists working in all media, and local and regional artists connected with Old Dominion University.[1] The gallery is named for art collectors Baron and Ellin Gordon of Williamsburg, Virginia whose gift of 350 pieces of 20th and 21st century self-taught art was foundational to the Galleries’ permanent collection.[2][3]
