Baldevkrishan Sharma is a scientist, entrepreneur, innovator, author, and founder of Marshalls Enterprise India Pvt. Ltd.[1] and Gratex Industries Ltd.[2]
Education
[edit]Baldevkrishan had his initial education in St. Blaise High School before proceeding to continue his further studies in science at K.C. College and the (Royal) Institute of Science, Mumbai. He had a strong interest in innovation and hence participated fully in inter-college science exhibitions, where he came up with innovative ideas like the STD Control Device and the Automatic Cooking Gas Safety & Control Device[3].
Career
[edit]In 1975 he established Marshalls Wallpapers[1], revolutionizing India’s interior décor industry. Despite initial challenges, he transformed Marshalls into a household name, pioneering the import and manufacturing of wallpapers in India.
Books written
[edit]Baldevkrishan Sharma has written several books on cosmology, environmental sustainability, and the Human-Universe relationship:
- Who Are We? & What For? – Looking into the relationship between humans and the Universe.[5]
- Unmasking the Hidden Fate of Carbon Emissions! – An in-depth analysis of the role of carbon emissions on climate change and global sustainability. An outcome of this study led to the discovery of natural causes for fatal deaths and grievous injuries. In this book, he also presents his theory on reducing fatal accidents.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Baldevkrishan founded the Baldev Sharma Marshalls Foundation[7], which focuses on improving healthcare, education, and animal welfare.
Philanthropy
[edit]After surviving a near-fatal heart attack in 1997, Baldevkrishan shifted his focus towards research and philanthropy. He established the Marshalls Comedy Awards, aiming to use humor as a tool to combat stress, and supported various medical assistance programs. His research into the Human-Cosmic Connection led to his writings on Astrogenesis and Universal Laws. Additionally, he champions innovations developed by students in fields like engineering, pharmacy, biotechnology, and chemical technology [8] within the realm of Creative Ideas & Innovations In Action(CiiA)[9][10].
He now serves as Chairman Emeritus of Marshalls.[1]
