Aida Azadi (born April 17, 1984), known professionally as AIDAZ, is a Turkish-Iranian singer, songwriter, music producer, DJ, and visual performance artist. Her style blends electronic music with Middle Eastern motifs, performance art, and fashion-forward visual design. She has been featured in Turkish media including Hürriyet, Show TV, Vatan, and Beyaz Gazete, and was awarded Best Female DJ at the 2021 Odulleri Music Awards.
Early life and education
[edit]Born in Maragheh, Iran, Aida Azadi grew up in Isfahan. She studied piano and poetry at an early age. After moving to Milan, she studied fashion and visual arts, later relocating to Istanbul where she began integrating her design background into her music and performance career.
Career
[edit]In 2019, AIDAZ released her debut single Aşk Kumarı, followed by Hükümsüz. Her style evolved from pop into electronic and ambient music. In 2020, she released Hedef, and in 2021 her electronic single Be With You received media coverage in Turkish press and was described by Hürriyet as an example of the “rising star in electro music.”[1]
Her 2023 EP Tamanna featured a fusion of ambient pop and traditional Persian instrumentation. She also performs as a DJ and visual artist, designing her own stage costumes and music video concepts.
