On 31 December 1970, a Nord 262E chartered by the football team, Air Liquide (AGAL), disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea.[1] All 30 occupants (reportedly 31) are missing.[2]
The investigation was dismissed due to a lack of evidence.[3]

Accident

[edit]The aircraft was cruising at the designated altitude; later at 23:09 PM, the pilot declared an emergency 120 kilometers (65 nautical miles) away from Algiers. Radar and radio contact was then lost as the aircraft reportedly crashed into the sea.[1][3]
Search
[edit]Search and rescue operations were conducted by the Algerian, French and Spanish authorities but suspended days later due to there being no traces of the aircraft.[2][3]
