Donji Daruvar (Czech: Dolní Daruvar)[4] is a village in Croatia, located in the municipality of Daruvar within Bjelovar-Bilogora County. It is situated along the D5 highway, providing road connections to surrounding towns and cities.
Demographics
[edit]According to the 2021 census, Donji Daruvar had a population of 624.[3] The village has a notable Czech community, one of several in the region established during the 19th century.
Culture
[edit]Donji Daruvar is known for preserving Czech traditions, hosting cultural events, and maintaining bilingual signage in Croatian and Czech.[5] The village participates in local festivals that celebrate its multicultural heritage.
