Horton began his collegiate career at Cape Fear Community College (2018–19), averaging 10.5 points per game while shooting 35.8% from three in 31 games. He then transferred to Independence Community College (2019–20), where he averaged 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, shot 43% from three-point range, and was named Second Team All-Region VI. He posted a season-high 33 points on nine three-pointers against Cloud County.

In 2020–21, Horton played at Purdue Fort Wayne, appearing in all 23 games and averaging 9.1 points and 2.9 rebounds. He scored in double figures 12 times, including a season-high 17 points at Detroit Mercy, and added 15 points in the Horizon League Championship game vs. Cleveland State.

Professional

[edit]

After going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, Horton signed his first professional contract with Spanish second division club Oviedo CB in the summer of 2023.[1] He started nearly all 33 regular-season games, earning multiple matchday MVP honors and finishing as Oviedo’s team MVP, leading in points, rebounds, and assists. Though Oviedo missed the playoffs and finished mid-table, Horton’s season continued when second division rival Tizona recruited him in May to replace the injured Joe Cremo.[2] Horton helped Tizona reach the semi-finals before being eliminated and leaving.[3]

Later that month, Horton signed with Polish first division club MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza as their first foreign summer signing.[4] However, during a preseason tournament in China in early September, he suffered an injury to his shoulder and was forced to terminate his contract. With his season over, he returned to the U.S. for treatment.[5]

He returned to action in Europe in the summer of 2025, signing with belgian BNXT League club Brussels Basketball.[6]
