Release and reception

[edit]

Dear Uma was released on 18 April 2025.

Deccan Chronicle wrote that, "Dear Uma is engaging with minor flaws. The interplay of an energetic, heartbroken rockstar's life with an idealistic doctor's mission gives rise to a good film".[3] Suhas Sistu of The Hans India rated the film 3 out of 5.[4] Giving the same rating, OTTPlay stated that, "Dear Uma is a social drama based on the medical mafia. The conflict point is interesting and is presented well".[5]
