The Day of Action (sometimes National Day of Action)[1] is a series of protests against the Donald Trump administration, held on April 19, 2025.[2][3][4] Approximately 600 to 700 events are being organized.[5][6]
Background
[edit]The Day of Action is part of the 50501 protests organized by the 50501 movement. The demonstrations on April 19 follow the Hands Off protests held on April 5, 2025.
Locations and activities

[edit]In Illinois, protests are planned in Chicago.[7]
There were protests in Ohio.[8]
West North Central states
[edit]In South Dakota, activities are planned in Aberdeen, Pierre, Rapid City, and Sioux Falls.[9][10]
Northeastern U.S.

- Gardiner: Intersection of Main Street (U.S. 44/55) and Wallkill Valley Rail Trail
- Geneseo: Village Park, Main Street and Route 20A
- Geneva: McDonough Park
- Ithaca: DeWitt Park

- Massena: 300 Main St. (intersection of Main Street and NY-37)

There were multiple protests in Connecticut.[14][15]
In Massachusetts, there was a protest in Concord.[16]
Southern U.S.

[edit]In Mississippi, protests are planned in Gulfport, Hattiesburg, Hernando, and Jackson.[17]
In Tennessee, a protest is planned in Johnson City.[18]
South Atlantic states
[edit]In Florida, there were protests in Miami[19][20] and St. Petersburg.[21]
Approximately 20 demonstrations are planned in North Carolina, including in the cities of Durham, Huntersville,[22] and Raleigh.[23]
Demonstrations are also planned in Washington, D.C.[24]
West South Central states
[edit]In Texas, demonstrations are planned in Galveston, Houston,[25] and San Antonio,[26] among other cities.[27][28]
Western U.S.

There was several protests in Colorado.[29]
Approximately 2,000 people gathered at the Idaho State Capitol.[30]
Pacific states
[edit]In California, a protest is planned in South Lake Tahoe.[31]
In Hawaii, a demonstration is scheduled to be held on Maui.[32]
Several protests are planned in Oregon, including in the cities of Beaverton, Bend, Corvallis, Dallas, Eugene, Gold Beach, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Portland,[33][34] Roseburg, Salem, and Tigard.[35] Hundreds gathered at the Oregon State Capitol.[36]
In Washington, a protest was planned in Edmonds.[37] A demonstration was held in Shoreline.[38]
