Cyril Island is a tiny island in the Bass Strait, situated off the southeastern coast of Victoria, Australia.[1]

Description

Cyril Island is located at approximately 38°40'30"S latitude and 146°45'19"E longitude, lying between the Australian mainland and Tasmania. The island is under the jurisdiction of the state of Victoria. It covers an area of approximately 0.745 square kilometers and has a coastline that extends for around 7.5 kilometers.[2] It is surrounded by the waters of the Bass Strait, which connects the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Southern Ocean to the west.[3]
