The Kanhangad area is a notable subdivision within the Kasaragod district of Kerala, India. It encompasses several villages around Kanhangad town. Geographically, it is bordered by the Kasaragod area to the north and the Cheruvathur area to the south. Additionally, the eastern section of Kanhangad is referred to as the Panathur area, which is distinguished by its considerable distance from the town, unique cultural differences, and diverse terrain.
