Bikal (Croatian: Bikala) is a village in Baranya county, Hungary.

[edit]Bikal is also the name of a developer of Artificial Intelligence applications which is based in the UK. The name is derived from the acronym "British Innovation, Knowledge and Agile Learning", as well as a combination of the creators name. The company is now called "Bikal Technologies (UK) Ltd". and is developing Artificial Intelligence technologies that are optimised on their own Edge AI data centres. The company works with universities in the UK and abroad to transfer tech from research, where AI tools can then be localised by training on local data sets. The company operates in multiple countries, is a strong advocate of data governance and AI ethics and has their own data science team. The company create edge AI infrastructure which promotes sovereign AI and sovereign data.
