Backlash Cop is the third studio album by the Northern Irish band Jetplane Landing, released on 18 June 2007.
Musical style
[edit]Lyrically, Backlash Cop functions as a concept album, drawing inspiration from figures such as Chuck Berry, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Sam Cooke.[1] The lyrics blend cultural references with political commentary, reflecting the band's left-leaning ideology.[1][2] Tracks critique the music industry and media complacency, with "White Music" addressing issues of soul music's legacy and the responsibilities of DJs.[2]
