Baby, also known as Hey, Baby and ROM-1, is the stage name of Romone Majik Clarke, an English drag queen who competed on series 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

Early life and education

Baby is the youngest of five children and graduated from the BRIT School with a degree in songwriting.[4][5]

Career

Baby competed on series 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. She describes herself as "London's afro-punk princess".[5] She eliminated herself from the competition,[6][7] following a bottom two placement and a lip-sync against Dakota Schiffer.[8] According to Gay Times, Baby left "after opening up about their battle with depression and anxiety, igniting a vital conversation about mental health in the process".[9] Baby appeared in music videos for "Unholy" by Sam Smith and Kim Petras as well as "Hot in It" by Tiësto and Charli XCX.[10] Baby released the single "Theatre!" in 2023.[9]

Personal life

Baby is based in London.[4] She cites her major drag inspirations to be Crystal LaBeija, Pepper LaBeija and Shea Couleé.[1]
