Bánovce nad Ondavou (Hungarian: Bánóc) is a village and municipality in the Michalovce District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.
History
[edit]In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1326. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, it was part of Zemplén County within the Kingdom of Hungary.
Geography
[edit]The village lies at an altitude of 122 metres and covers an area of 12.23 km2 (4.72 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[4]

[edit]The population is 96% Slovak in ethnicity.
