AlphaChip (Russian: ООО «Альфачип») is an independent Russian microelectronics company specializing in the design and development of integrated circuits (ICs), electronic design automation (EDA) software, and custom chip solutions.[1] Headquartered in Zelenograd, Moscow, AlphaChip has been implicated in recent international and Russian investigations for allegedly smuggling foreign electronics, including U.S.-made microchips, into Russia for use in military applications, circumventing export controls.[2][3][4]
History
[edit]AlphaChip was founded in 2006 by Alexander Stempkovsky, a prominent specialist in microelectronics and a recipient of Russian state awards for his contributions to the field. The company has acquired real estate in Zelenograd to support business growth.[5] It has established itself as a developer of EDA tools and custom ICs for Russian and international clients.[1]
Operations

The company collaborates with major Russian research institutes, including the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET), and participates in joint educational and research projects.[6]
Industry role and recognition
