Prospect reviewed the book Alice in Westminster, describing Reeves as having done Bacon "proud".[3]

According to a review in Modern British History, the book "clearly asserts" Bacon's right to be remembered alongside Barbara Castle and Jennie Lee.[4]

Further development

After the book was published a beer was named after Bacon at Strangers Bar.[5]
