WP:CZ/RS?

[edit]

Should there be a Wikipedia article titled "WP:CZ/RS" as with WP:KO/RS to list sources that can be used? ⋆。˚꒰ঌ Clara A. Djalim ໒꒱˚。⋆ 17:40, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea... I've noticed one site in particular that is widely used as a source, but shouldn't be. Jdcooper (talk) 16:25, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I also wanted to do the same with other countries, including WP:POLAND/RS and WP:SLOVAKIA/RS. Anyway, which website specifically? ⋆。˚꒰ঌ Clara A. Djalim ໒꒱˚。⋆ 10:03, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Parlamentni listy is a highly sensationalist tabloid site, but I have seen it used for citations in many articles. It's not reliable. Jdcooper (talk) 01:37, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello WikiProject Czech Republic:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

Good article reassessment for Beer

[edit]

Beer has been nominated for a good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. Z1720 (talk) 14:56, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I recently created Christmas carp. It may be of interest to members of this project. Thriley (talk) 16:42, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sněžka", Śnieżka or an English exonym, if there is one ?

A discussion at Talk:Sněžka#Requested move 30 January 2025, regarding SněžkaŚnieżka-Sněžka on the Polish—Czech border, may be of interest. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 00:51, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The European Destubathon

[edit]

Project members are invited to participate in The European Destubathon in April. Almost $3000 in Amazon voucher prizes, including a prize for articles from your project, which can be used to buy books for content, though it can also be treated as an editathon if you're not interested in competing! Minimum content to be added to each article just to ensure that they're over a stub, though longer expansions also welcome. Entries at the end of the contest will be tipped into the 50,000 Destubbing Challenge and European Challenge. Previous contests were really enjoyable and I'm hoping this one will be too! Sign up if interested. Thanks! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:43, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Good Morning! I am currently working on this article and hope to submit it for FL status when I am finished. However, I have been unable to find a source for the 2005 Czech Figure Skating Championships. They were apparently held in Ostrava from December 16–19, 2004. I don't speak Czech (sadly), which makes finding sources difficult. If anyone can help me out – perhaps a Czech newspaper reported on the event? – that would be fantastic. Thank you so much in advance. Bgsu98 (Talk) 13:03, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Czech Radio report is here. FromCzech (talk) 13:13, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@FromCzech I need the competition from December 2004; the one you link to is from December 2005. (The championships are called the 2005 Championships because they take place during the 2004–2005 season.) Bgsu98 (Talk) 13:25, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok sorry, this is from 2004. FromCzech (talk) 13:46, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Děkuji mnohokrát! (At least that's what Google Translate says is Czech for "Thank you so much!") Bgsu98 (Talk) 14:13, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
FromCzech (and anyone else who might be able to help)... I thought I was almost finished, but it turns out that the Czech Republic began holding national championships in 1993–1994, while the existing table began at 1997–1998. I have the results for those first four years, but not any sources. The competitions I am looking for are: December 1993 @ Třinec, December 1994 @ Ústí nad Labem, December 1995 @ Třinec, and December 1996 @ Ústí nad Labem. I am estimating December based on the subsequent competitions. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide! Bgsu98 (Talk) 21:50, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Move request

[edit]

This page should be moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Czechia as Czechia has been the country's official and common name for a few years now. Spectritus (talk) 15:16, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Project members are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning some vouchers to help you buy books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for your project, sign up if interested.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:28, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
