This is a test run for a cricket editing contest; based on the outcomes a more prominent contest will be implemented at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket.
Add your submissions here. Rewards will be awarded after the contest has ended either on the deadline (25 October 2025) or when all four topics are promoted.
Criteria
[edit]- Assistance in improving articles together with Vestrian24Bio.
- Reviewing GANs initiated by Vestrian24Bio.
- Doing FLC / FAC nominations as either co-nomination with Vestrian24Bio or as individual nominations.
- Making DYK / TFL / TFA nominations within the topics.
Basic rewards
[edit]Following barnstars are awarded based on the number of articles the editor contributed to. Any GAN review or FLC nomination within the topic counts; although for improvement of articles, a significant contribution should be made (see below for details). The editor can choose which version of the barnstar they want.

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, a biennial world cup for cricket in Twenty20 International (T20I) format, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket from 1 to 29 June 2024. It was the first major ICC tournament to include matches played in the United States. The West Indies had previously hosted the 2010 competition. A total of twenty teams competed in 55 matches across six venues in the West Indies, and three in the United States.
England were the defending champions and were beaten in the semi-finals by India, who went on to win their second T20 World Cup title, defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final. India won all their matches, and were the first team to win a T20 World Cup undefeated. They joined England and West Indies as the only teams to win the title twice.
This would be the first ICC event and the second cricket topic to become a good/featured topic on en-wiki, while I'm working on more to follow. --Vestrian24Bio 12:34, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
