This article is about a music group from South Korea. I have worked on this article last year. It was recently promoted to the GA and I believe this article also meets the FA standards. Note: this will be my first FAC nominations, thank you. — Shenaall (t ♣ c) 03:34, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Image review
[edit]Here'll be an image review from me. Arconning (talk) 08:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- File:Stray Kids at Incheon Airport, May 3, 2024 (2).png - CC BY 3.0, Alt-text should be changed as its not grammatically correct "The eight members of Stray Kids, look forward" to The eight members of Stray Kids, looking forward"
- File:Stray Kids Logo 03.svg - Public Domain, refer to caption can't be alt-text
- File:180128 Stray Kids COEX Live Plaza Fan Signing.png - CC BY 3.0
- File:190424 Stray Kids The Fact Music Awards.png - CC BY 3.0, missing alt-text
- File:Alesso playing live at Ushuaia Ibiza.jpeg - CC BY-SA 3.0, the alt-text isn't proper
- File:Stray Kids at the Music Core Mini Fan Meeting, November 11, 2023.png - CC BY 3.0, alt-text isn't grammatically correct
- Images 7 to 10 are based off of the first image.
- File:Kingdom Legendary War Stray Kids Poster.jpg - Fair Use, what does this add exactly? + alt-text isn't grammatically correct
- @Arconning: Fixed the alt-text. File:Kingdom Legendary War Stray Kids Poster.jpg is intended to be the visual description for one of Stray Kids' performances, specifically their introduction performance in Kingdom: Legendary War, as detailed in the paragraph. Should it be removed and replaced?
Airship
[edit]Oppose on prose quality, which is substantially far away from the "professional standard" required by FA criterion 1a). For example, the "Stage, performance and concept aesthetics" section contains numerous grammatical and syntactical errors, in addition to a hyperfocus of excessive detail on the performances of one competition show. I suggest withdrawal and copyediting, either from WP:GOCE or from an experienced copyeditor. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 13:40, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- I understand about the hyperfocus that you pointed out; I will adjust it. I realized my grammar may not be good since I'm not a native English speaker, so I have asked GOCE for copywriting, and one of the GOCE copy editors has already copyedited this article before this nomination, as seen in this revision history. If the result is still not enough I don't know where else to go...
—Shenaall(t♣c) 02:25, 24 July 2025 (UTC) - I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the "professional standard." Do you mean sentences like "elegant dance moves" and "creative choreographies"? Can you please guide me to its related Wikipedia guide page for more explanation?
- Also, I will try to request a copywriting again in GOCE after some adjustments.
—Shenaall(t♣c) 04:21, 24 July 2025 (UTC)- Hi Shenaall, this is a good start. Your English is very good—you are certainly more proficient in English than I am in any other language—but featured articles on Wikipedia do require "professional standards of writing, presentation, and sourcing", which may be hard to achieve unless you work closely with an editor who knows both the topic and how to write FA-quality prose. An article of this size and intricacy might be difficult to get to FAC at first effort; I'd suggest trying for smaller articles until you feel that you have a good grip of the FA standards. Hope that helps, ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 11:23, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
Coord note
[edit]Hi Shenaall, I'm going to archive this so a new copyedit take place outside the FAC process. As to other steps, I note you submitted this to PR before the FAC nom, so the mentoring program is something else to consider. In any case, pls note the two-week hiatus required before nominating this or another article at FAC. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 09:03, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- Closing note: This candidate has been archived, but there may be a delay in bot processing of the close. Please see WP:FAC/ar, and leave the {{featured article candidates}} template in place on the talk page until the bot goes through. Ian Rose (talk) 09:04, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
