Invitation to participate in research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of a group of Wikipedians to better understand their experiences! We are also looking to interview some survey respondents in more detail, and you will be eligible to receive a thank-you gift for the completion of an interview. The outcomes of this research will shape future work designed to improve on-wiki experiences.

We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this survey, which shouldn’t take more than 2-3 minutes. You may view its privacy statement here. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Kind regards, Sam Walton (talk) 16:34, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Samwalton9 (WMF)! I've just answered the form but incorrectly answered it twice. Please consider the second response my real response; my setup for my watchlist is quite unique so I misunderstood what the question on the form was asking. Thanks! Question from PsychSabrina (01:54, 15 March 2025)

[edit]

Hello, is there a way I can report a citation error? --PsychSabrina (talk) 01:55, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @PsychSabrina! Citation errors are usually fixed and dealt with by editors like you and me. There's no official place where you can report them, but feel free to mention it here so I can take a look. You can also ask the many wonderful editors at the Teahouse, who will be happy to assist you. :) Chlod (top • contribs) 01:58, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I really appreciate the quick response. Just need to correct a citation at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Spirit_in_Christianity. Under Mainstream Doctrines, in the "Fruit and Gifts of the Spirit" section the citation at [117] links to https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Bible_(American_Standard)/Isaiah#11, which for some reason directs to the beginning of the Book of Isaiah, chapter 1, instead of chapter 11 as the reference specifies. I was hoping to update the link to https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Bible_(American_Standard)/Isaiah#chapter_11 instead to avoid confusion. Thanks so much for your help! PsychSabrina (talk) 06:08, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @PsychSabrina! It seems like the section link was broken at some point. I've changed the link to be chapter_11 instead of just 11, which is where it's supposed to point to. You can check the change here to see what's been done: Special:Diff/1280556161. If you want to make any further changes, be bold and feel free to make them yourself! This is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit, after all. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Again, thank you and welcome to Wikipedia. :) Chlod (top • contribs) 07:01, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Khuthala Mbobo (09:06, 21 March 2025)

[edit]

Hello. How does Wikipedia ensure there are no false information edited into their articles here --Khuthala Mbobo (talk) 09:06, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Khuthala Mbobo! Wikipedia has active recent change patrollers who review most of the new changes to Wikipedia, usually those that get flagged as not having citations or similar. In addition, every new article goes through a quality review process which ensures that it is correct, accurate, and up to our standards. Chlod (top • contribs) 21:05, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
