Question from Earth605 (15:02, 22 July 2025)

[edit]

Hello Bsoyka! I have in my hands a dilemma of great significance. Assuming that I closed the peer review, I need to decide if I nominate Outline of Spain for FL or if I decide to improve the article. I actually don't even know if I can, as I'm listed only as the third contributor of the article. Personally, I consider it does pass the FL criteria, but I am 0% sure of that. When the nomination comes, could you help me get it through? --Earth605 (talk) 15:02, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator Elections | Voting phase

[edit]
Administrator Elections | Voting phase

The voting phase of the July 2025 administrator elections has started and continues until July 29 at 23:59 UTC. You can participate in the voting phase at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Voting phase.

As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:

  • July 23–29 – Voting phase
  • July 30–c. Aug 3 – Scrutineering phase

In the voting phase, the candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone who qualifies to vote will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's vote total during the election. The suffrage requirements are similar to those at RFA.

Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for approximately four days, perhaps longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (this is a good page to watchlist), and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").

Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Question from Thereminwoo (11:27, 25 July 2025)

[edit]

Hello - how do I remove superfluous entries in "References" - specifically in the Bruce Woolley Page - for example numbers 11-16 are irrelevant. Thank you. --Thereminwoo (talk) 11:27, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Jtttttt (15:46, 31 July 2025)

[edit]

hey i do have a question about something, there is a important topic on a page that needs to be addressed and this has been discussed for maybe a year or two its about changing a political parties political position i think it is important to address the actually position of all parties on wikipedia and for some reason this has been addressed and agreed by many and its about reform uk political positioning.

i believe like many many others that it should be changed from "right wing" to "right - far right" because of multiple independent sources of major global media (e.g le monde, al jazeera, byline times, dw and the washington post) now consistently classifying the party as far right.

reform uk's policies on immigration, criminal justice, national identity and civil liberties - along with its anti-diversity stance and rhetoric around open borders and crime - are increasingly aligned with far right european populist movements like the AfD and PiS.

in contrast, the conservatives are already placed as centre right - right wing, so leaving reform uk in the same category no longer reflects the ideological gap between them.

id appreciate your advice or input on how to approach this change properly as me and many have been trying to discuss this but are being ignored. also in the archives you can see how many times this has been discussed. thank you --Jtttttt (talk) 15:46, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Bluemule1 on User talk:Bluemule1 (02:52, 1 August 2025)

[edit]

Im trying to get that the USNS Big Horn is to be deactivated. Wikipedia is cryptic in how to send info to an editor to get this added . Theres nothing easy about getting legitimate information added by a Wikipedia sanctioned editor to a topic. Im not looking for credit. Im looking for the page to b updated. --Bluemule1 (talk) 02:52, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
