Hey! As usual, great work on the article! I checked Earwig and there are no copyright violations and I cannot see any major issues. Here are my comments:
1.) "which meant she was tied for the female Olympian with the most gold medals." - Can this be clarified or linked?
- I replaced "was" with "became" to make "she became tied for the female Olympian with the most gold medals". I'm not aware of a page this could be linked to, and I'm not sure how I could make it clearer. Any suggestions?
2.) "which were topped by her 8:04.79 world record set at the 2016 Olympics" - Could you clarify whether her world record is included in the top 16 fastest times?
Changed to "which included her..."
3.) "who beat her personal best by seven seconds to qualify with a time of 8:20.71" - when?
Added "at the US Olympic Trials"
4.) "the fourth fastest qualifier" and "the second fastest qualifier" - could these please be clarified?
Changed to "Australia's Lani Pallister, who qualified with the fourth fastest time of 8:15.11; and China's Li Bingjie, who qualified with the second fastest time of 8:13.31 and was the 2023 World Championships silver medallist"
5.) "SwimSwam later reported that she was on a sharp improvement trajectory" - Could you please clarify what "sharp improvement trajectory" means?
Changed to "SwimSwam reported after the race that she was improving rapidly"
6.) """truly a sign that [Ledecky] is not quite lonely at the top anymore"" - What does this mean?
- It's referring to the fact that Ledecky has been so much faster than everyone else for so long. I added the clarification ", as she had won by such large margins at the major events for so long." Do you think this clarifies it enough?
7.) "and Swimming World called Madden's medal a "top swimming surprise"." - Why did they consider it a surprise?
Added "due to her rapid improvement leading up to the event"
8.) Source #17 has some information that could be added to the article, so it may be worth adding a bit, though it is not essential.
- I heavily considered this, but I think it isn't relevant enough to this article. I think it should be included in the article on Paige Madden herself.
9.) Could you please clarify what "most decorated American female swimmer" means?
I cut this, I don't think the source was clear enough either.
I hope I do not sound nit-picky, I was just giving my perspective on things that may be unclear for readers who are not experts/familiar with swimming competitions etc. As usual please let me know if you need any help
- Hi @DaniloDaysOfOurLives, thank you very much again for another review. I replied to your comments above. Don't worry about being nitpicky, I appreciate your comments a lot. IAWW (talk) 13:07, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry for the lateness, I did not see this ping - my mistake! I am very satisfied with the changes, well done and thank you! This makes things much clearer. I have spotchecked Sources #4, #6, #8 and #11. I am going to pass this article - well done! :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 06:27, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
