Lede trimmed

[edit]

Previously there was a filler mentioning lap count and pool length. This is generally not good to add in lede per MOS: LEDE and a discussion has already made in length over this issue and resolved: see talk. See also User:IP49XX/Why MOS Matters for my detailed explanation. However I don't think it's necessary to restart same discussion as it's already been resolved. Hey, well done on another great article! Here are my comments:

1.) Could you please clarify defending, Other contenders and favourites please? In the lead and background section

2.) Lead – " until he was overtaken back by Wiffen" – is this correct wording?

3.) Background – "Mykhailo Romanchuk, the Olympic record holder" could you please clarify of what he was recorder holder of?

4.) When mentioning SwimSwam and Swimming World, could you please say something along the lines of "[Writer] from SwimSwam believed..."? This is just a suggestion, but it's because this makes it clear that it's the opinion of the writer rather than the whole magazine/website, and may give readers that impression

However, none of these are huge issues so I am going to go ahead and pass this. I have spotchecked Sources #3, #4, #7 and #15. Well done! :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 02:42, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
